Teachers all over the Independence School District have been working hard this week to extend the learning from school to the home to help during this difficult time. In case you did not already know, the ISD website has a
Virtual Learning Resources page for families to use to continue their student's learning! Beginning April 6th, more lessons will be available in other subjects in addition to math, ELL, social studies, and science. Be sure to check out the art lessons that will be available for all grades.
Art is so fun to make and can help sort out difficult emotions. We can learn from it as well! Not only by making it, but by looking at it too! Share your home-made creations on our Artsonia page! Not only will you get to see your portfolios grow, but you will see what others are doing as well! Not only will you be able to share your creations with your family and friends, you'll be able to share them with me too! I miss all of you terribly!! I miss seeing your creativity and hearing your incredible thoughts and stories!
Parents and guardians, if you do not already have the Artsonia App on your phone or tablet, please help support your young artist(s) by downloading it for them to use. You and your artist(s) can watch a tutorial on how to use the Artsonia App
here. Ott's classroom code is: JHBD-FYWM.
I encourage ALL of you to create some amazing art! I have included a project that is a special place just for pictures of the art my students made at home as well as my students' FAMILIES! You read that right! I want to see art made by others in the household too! Why should the students have all of the fun?!
Be sure to title your art and even write about it. Tell me how you made it, what you learned from it, what is happening in the art, what it means to you, and/or how you feel about it.
What are you waiting for? Go make some art!
Much love to you all! Stay well!
