Hello Parents!

I wanted to let you know what we have been working on so far this year.I enjoyed seeing those of you who were able to come to parent/teacher conferences. Our hallways were lined with student artwork!  You can also see the artwork we've made this year on your child's artsonia account. We just finished our line projects. Now, we are moving on to the next element of art: shape! 
     Be sure to share the user name of your child with all your family and friends! Help foster your child's ability to create! We are so fortunate to be onsite to create with more supplies this year! Our artwork has been improving so much!

Just for Kindergarten

     We have finished our Spider webs with lines! We explored drawing lines and painting shapes. We are now working on making spiders for our webs by stamping, cutting and gluing. Next, we will be making our next name cards with shapes and learn how to collage shapes. Students get to take home his or her name card when he or she gets a shout out in art for following all the art room rules!

Just for Grade 1

We have finished our sunflowers inspired by the artist, Vincent van Gogh. Now, we will be taking pictures of trees in honor of Arbor Day. Next, we will be learning how to draw and collage shapes on our next name cards. Students get to take home his or her name card when he or she gets a shout out in art for following all the art room rules!

Just for Grade 2

We have just finished our still-life  inspired by the artist, Vincent van Gogh. Now, we are working on shape creations. Then, we will be making new name cards with shapes and painting skills. Students get to take home his or her name card when he or she gets a shout out in art for following all the art room rules!

We have just finished our Vincent van Gogh inspired artwork. Students could choose to make a still-life (vase of flowers or bowl of fruit), landscapes or portraits. They added more lines than they usually would like van Gogh. Now, we are working on shape creations. Then, we will be making new name cards with shapes and drawing skills.Students get to take home his or her name card when he or she gets a shout out in art for following all the art room rules!
