Happy Holidays for the Art Room! Students are looking forward to the upcoming vacation and they are working hard to finish up current projects. See your child's grade level below for specific information for their class. A big thank you to those parents who ordered from our fall fundraiser Art to Remember. Hope you enjoy your products featuring the artwork of your son or daughter. If you are in need of a last minute gift, Artsonia is running a holiday promotion and you can receive products with your child's artwork on it. Go to the shop in Artsonia and select the artwork you would like featured. The artroom receives 20% of all purchases which we used towards additional classroom supplies and the after school art club. I believe deadline for Christmas delivery is tomorrow December 15, 2015. January Art Club schedules will be out when we return from break. We will not have art club that first week back in January. Just for Grade 5
We have just rotated on December 3rd to our Trimester 2 classes. Students who started the year with me are now with Mr. Okray for music until the first week of March. The new students I just received from Ms. Horn have received Artsonia parent permission slips and I will soon be loading artwork into their digital portfolios. Remember as a parent you are the monitor of activity on your child's account so you approve all comments left for your son or daughter and anyone who wants to be a member of their fan club. Artsonia is a great way to share their artwork with family members who do not live in the area. Artsonia is worldwide so anyone can view the artwork on our MMS online gallery. Any students from Trimester 1 who have missing or make up work need to have it turned in prior to Christmas break. Trimester 1 students grades will be posted during the second quarter marking period in January. Trimester 2 students grades will be posted at the third quarter marking period.
Just for Grade 6

7th grade students are currently working on their large clay coil vessels. Students who are behind on this project are encouraged to come in during their lunch recess. They may also stay after school this week Tuesday, December 15th and next week Tuesday, December 22 until 4:15 pm to work on their projects. These projects need to be completed going into Christmas break. Also any late or missing work needs to be submitted. Grade updates will take place over the break and I will email students a list of missing assignments or they will show up in Skyward.
