from Ms. Miller
Spring has sprung! What a beautiful time of the year!!  I can honestly say the month of March was a blur.  It went by so fast. I also cannot believe that we are now entering the 4th quarter. Wow!  Where has the time gone?

Anyway, having said that, students are working hard to complete projects from last month that they have not finished.   However, I am hopeful that we can make the month of April very productive with beautiful spring inspired art creations.

Art Room Recap:
(K-6: Artwork in progress from last month)

Learning:
K-1: Students will be inspired by Scholastic’s Club picks and will learn about dinosaurs, Cave Art, and mono-printing.

2nd: Students will do nature studies and learn about our local wildlife, one of these being the owl which will help them to create thier very own “Humanimals”.

3-6th: Students will learn about the human anatomy starting with the eyes and move to the face in order to create unique “self”, “buddy portraits”, or both using mixed media.

Art Focus: .
(K-6: Artwork in progress)

K-1 - Students will learn about Japanese Origami to create artwork.
3-6 - Students will be working with “mixed media” to create 3-D artwork.
