Happy Fall and Free day at the High Museum
from Mrs. Antman
Welcome and welcome back!
Things are rolling along in the art studio this year. I wanted to share a few updates and let you know about a wonderful opportunity this weekend.
The High Museum in Atlanta offers free admission and family fun activities on the second Sunday of each month. This coming Sunday is one of those days. You can find more information about it here
We have been working with drawing, painting, collage, blocks, Legos and paper sculpture so far this fall, as I am sure you have seen. We are now starting a new artwork for the all county contest a bit later this year. The theme is "My Story, My Art." We are discussing how artists use details to tell stories in their art, and then connecting that to how we can use details to tell our own stories.
One last note, if you are interested in how students work is graded please check out the assessment page of my website here.

I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather (and we all stay safe with the coming storm)!
Thank you,
Mrs. Antman

Artsonia is the largest student art museum in the world! Our dream is that every young artist will have an online art gallery, preserving their masterpieces in a digital portfolio!
