This term consist of 11 full weeks. Below is a list of what I hope to accomplish in those weeks. As students complete these projects the students will photograph their pieces and keep a digital portfolio of their work. This work can then be shared with family and friends. You can even create personalised items that are just great as original keepsakes. The other side to this is that any keepsake you pruchase 20% comes back to the Rosewood art program. So help spread the word and get our girls beautiful art work shown around the world.
Term Two January to March "The Elements of Art Revisited and The Principles of Design"
Week One and Two :- ALL THE ELEMENTS- A look at Van Gog's Sunflowers, Students will then draw a contor drawing of a sunflower adding all the various art elements.
Week Three and Four :- SPACE AND MOVEMENT-Students re-create Van Gogh's "Stary Night" on a dress for Carnival.
Week Five and Six :- BALANCE and VARIETY - Students will re-create the painting of Van Gogh's "The Chair" in a 3d Style.
Week Seven and Eight :- STILL LIFE - Students will look at Van Gogh's Flower paintings, focusing on the Sunflower paintings. then they will draw two still life paintings one using watercolours and the other using acrylic paints.
Week Nine and Ten :- STILL LIFE - Students will continue their look into Van Gogh's Flower Paintings, then they will re-create the Iris' painting using construction paper and oil pastels.
Week Eleven :- ASSESSMENT - students will do a short assessment on Vincent Van Gogh and the Elements of Art and The Principles of Design.
Please note this is a general outline and completion of the above projects depends on how the students work. Some projects may take longer than others.

Just for Form One and Two
REQUIREMENTS: Each student will be required to bring one large pack of wet wipes as this helps with the clean up process as there are no sinks in the classroom.
Just for Grade 5
Dear Parents,
Please note I have given permission for the students to bring in their ipods, or mp3 /4 players. These devices can only be used during art class with headphones and it is their responsibility to keep it safe and secure. If they abuse the privilliage it will be taken away from the entire class as this privillage is usually only give from Form one on.
